I'm Kellie Page, the practitioner behind Horsforth Energy Healing. After many years working in corporate environments, I became increasingly interested in the impact that stress, lifestyle and our surroundings can have on our overall wellbeing. This curiosity eventually led me to Reiki, where I discovered the value of creating dedicated time and space to slow down, relax and reconnect.
I am a certified Reiki Level 1 & 2 and Angel Reiki Practitioner, and I continue to develop my knowledge and practice through ongoing training and personal study.
As someone born and raised in Leeds, I feel passionate about supporting people in my local community. My goal is to provide a calm, welcoming space where you can take a break from life's demands and focus entirely on your own wellbeing.
Whether you're completely new to Reiki or have experienced it before, you'll always be welcomed with warmth, kindness and an open mind.
A gentle Japanese wellbeing practice that supports relaxation and balance. Here are the questions people most often ask before their first session.
Reiki is a Japanese wellbeing practice developed by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century, drawing on much older healing traditions. The word combines two Japanese terms: Rei, often translated as "universal", and Ki, meaning "life energy". Reiki is based on the belief that this energy flows through all living things, and that supporting its natural balance may encourage a greater sense of wellbeing.
During a session you remain fully clothed and relax comfortably while I place my hands lightly on or just above different areas of the body. My role is to create a calm, supportive environment in which you can rest deeply and reconnect with yourself. Many people experience Reiki as deeply relaxing and report feeling calmer, more balanced and better able to cope with everyday demands.
Reiki is often associated with the body's seven main energy centres, known as chakras. While experiences vary from person to person, Reiki provides dedicated time for rest, reflection and relaxation.
People often seek Reiki for support with:
Your session begins with a warm welcome and a few minutes discussing how you're feeling and whether there's anything you'd like to focus on — this is often called intention setting, and it helps create a personalised experience. You're welcome to mention a specific area you'd like support with, though it isn't essential.
You'll then lie comfortably on the treatment bed, fully clothed, with blankets and cushions available. I begin with a short grounding practice and guide you through a gentle relaxation exercise to help you switch off from the outside world.
The treatment then begins. Working from the head down towards the feet, I place my hands lightly on, or just above, different areas of the body, depending on your comfort. Each position is held for several minutes. There's nothing to do but rest — some people drift into a deeply relaxed state, others stay awake and simply enjoy the stillness.
At the end, you'll have a few moments to reorient yourself before we discuss your experience. I'll offer a glass of water and recommend taking things gently for the rest of the day.
No. Many people come to Reiki simply because they're curious, looking for relaxation, or wanting to try something new. You don't need any prior experience, beliefs or understanding to enjoy a session. The most important thing is that you arrive with an open mind and allow yourself time to relax.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to relax fully. You'll remain fully clothed throughout the treatment, and if the weather is cooler, blankets are available to keep you warm and comfortable.
Everyone experiences Reiki differently, and there's no right or wrong way to feel. Some people notice warmth, coolness, tingling, gentle pulsing, or a deep sense of relaxation. Others may notice emotions arising, while some experience very little physically at all. Many clients drift into a light sleep.
Afterwards, people report feeling calm, refreshed, reflective, energised or tired — experiences vary greatly, and there's no expectation to feel any particular thing. If you enjoy reflecting, you might keep a short journal for a few days after your session.
Before: wear comfortable clothing, stay hydrated, avoid arriving overly hungry or straight after a heavy meal, and give yourself a little extra time so you arrive calm and unhurried.
After: keep drinking water, allow yourself some quiet time if you can, and enjoy gentle activities such as walking, journalling, reading or time in nature. Listen to your body and take things at a pace that feels right for you.
That's absolutely fine. Many clients become so relaxed that they drift into a light sleep. Reiki can still be received while you're sleeping, and it often simply means your body has entered a deeply relaxed state.
Reiki can be adapted for children and young people. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who remains present throughout, and appropriate consent will be required.
This varies from person to person. Some clients book a single session to experience Reiki; others choose regular sessions as part of their ongoing self-care. During your consultation we can discuss what feels most appropriate for you.
Taking your first step into energy healing can feel a little daunting. I offer all new clients a complimentary 30-minute consultation before their first treatment — a chance to ask questions, discuss your needs and explore whether my approach feels right for you, with no obligation. You can book it separately or add it to your first session.
Intention setting, guided meditation and relaxation, followed by a traditional Reiki healing session using the 12 standard hand positions from head to feet.
A deeper level of relaxation. Includes intention setting, guided meditation, chakra balancing (aligning the seven main energy centres), then a traditional Reiki treatment from head to feet.
Reiki can easily become part of a regular self-care routine, and consistency helps deepen the benefits. For those new to Reiki, a block of three sessions over three consecutive weeks is often recommended.
My dedicated treatment space at the bottom of my garden, on Outwood Lane, Leeds.
I believe the environment around us has a powerful impact on how easily we're able to relax. That's why I created the Zen Den — a peaceful retreat from the stresses of everyday life, and a calm, private sanctuary where you can truly switch off and focus on yourself.
A stone pathway, framed by white raised planters, sparkling white gravel and natural materials, guides you through the garden towards the treatment room, helping create a sense of leaving the outside world behind. Many clients tell me that the walk to the Zen Den marks the beginning of their relaxation — a chance to slow down, take a breath, and gently transition into a calmer frame of mind before their treatment begins.
